Johan Fieten is transparent on his vision: not just the future
building is important, also the fact that it will be used.
‘As an architect you design something new in an existing
environment. An environment people often have a close
relationship with. A landscape, a village, a city quarter, you
create something in their environment. And they are the future
users. Regardless of whether it is an apartment building, a rural
estate, a shopping centre or a community centre. Environment
and users are the most important criteria in my architecture.’
